  We have attended services here several times and it is a unique cultural experience. We always look forward to having the opportunity to go to church here. It is one of our highlights when we are on Maui.

  We have visited this church a few times over the years and we have always enjoyed our worshipping experience. Since church life is so very contextual, let me simply give some indicators so folks will know if this is the place for them.
  
  In general, this is an older congregation that has a family feel to it. The service is in both Hawaiian and English and runs a little over an hour. The liturgy us pretty traditional with organ, piano, and an occasional other special music.
  
  Theologically, this is a United Church of Christ congregation so will tend to be more progressive when it comes to women, LGBTQ folks, immigration, etc. They are not scared to talk about how our faith impacts social life — a faith that some may deem "political" and would rather the church not talk about social issues.
  
  The pastor is friendly, welcoming, and clearly loved by the church. We have found the messages inspiring, challenging, and hopeful.
  
  This church is not one of those contemporary band-driven congregations, so if that's what you are looking for, this may not be the place for you.
